For laboratory instrumentation, technical performance is everything. Variation in environmental consistency is a critical factor that equipment must be able to compensate for to ensure consistent and reliable results.

Varying temperatures alter evaporation rates for liquid samples, and for flow-cytometers, upon which their results rely, this introduces unwanted noise into datasets. ​

I developed a sample cooling system to allow for temperature controlled testing in even the hottest labs.
